An understanding of natural process, as well as human interactions on a local and global level, has been the primary focus of  Dr. Barbara Joyce Frank’s 35 year professional career. 

As a Professor of Geology/Environmental Science at the University of Maryland Munich Campus for 15 years, she developed an extensive study tour program to help teachers, undergraduate students and civilians to connect with the extraordinary natural beauty of Europe.  Upon returning to the United States, she has held numerous senior level manager positions at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy, as well as a senior Congressional staff position on the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space and Technology. 

Most recently, Dr. Frank created Meeting Oasis, a firm dedicated to helping organizations with the meeting process.  Now known as “Doc,” she has gained a reputation for her expert facilitation and for the unique venues with natural supportive environments Meeting Oasis offers.
